Kremlin positively assesses Zelenskyy’s readiness for peace talks

The Kremlin positively assesses Vladimir Zelenskyy’s readiness to sit at the negotiating table, but there is a nuance in his self-obstacle in negotiations with Moscow. This was stated by the Russian presidential press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, at a briefing.

“Positively,” the Kremlin spokesman said, answering the respective question. “The question is with whom to sit [at the negotiating table]. The legal ban on the Ukrainian president from negotiating with the Russian side is still in place. Therefore, in general, the approach is positive, but the nuances have not changed yet.”

As reported earlier, US President Donald Trump said in his address to Congress that he received a letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in which the latter announced his readiness for peace talks.
