Turkish Parliament Speaker: Our country must be prepared for earthquakes

Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş told reporters that the country must be prepared for earthquakes while commenting on the earthquake that occurred today, Anadolu reports.

“We hope that we will overcome this earthquake without consequences. We will leave another great danger behind as a nation, but it seems that the expected earthquake in Istanbul is already on the doorstep at any moment. Our country, all our institutions and organizations must be prepared, and we must overcome the possible earthquake in Istanbul with the least number of victims,” he said.

Recall that today, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake occurred in Istanbul, which was felt throughout the Marmara region.
