Trump Denies Stopping Israel from Attacking Iran

US President Donald Trump has said that he did not stop Israel from attacking Iran.

“I didn’t stop them. But I didn’t make it convenient for them because I think we can make a deal without attacking,” the US President said in an interview with Time. He added that he does not rule out US military involvement in a possible conflict between Israel and Iran.

He also stressed that he is not afraid that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will drag the US into a military conflict. “I will go there (into a military confrontation) of my own free will if we can’t agree. If we can’t agree, I will lead the rest,” Trump stressed.

On April 7, The New York Times reported that Israel intended to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities in May 2025, but decided against it because Trump did not support such a move.
