The Chinese Foreign Ministry supported the Russian Federation’s initiative to ceasefire in Ukraine on the 80th anniversary of Victory. The corresponding statement was made at a briefing by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun.
“China supports all efforts aimed at establishing peace, and hopes that the parties will continue their efforts to resolve the crisis through dialogue and negotiations,” the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry noted, commenting on the Russian initiative to stop hostilities from midnight on May 8 to midnight on May 11.
