The Latvian authorities sent another batch of 1,500 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Ukraine. This was reported by the Minister of Defense of the Baltic republic Andris Spruds.
“Another 1,500 combat drones are being sent from Latvia to Ukraine. In the first half of the year, two Latvian companies will supply [Kyiv] with 12,000 drones as part of the drone coalition,” the head of the department wrote in X.
The coalition for the development and procurement of UAVs for the needs of Ukraine was created in 2024 by the United Kingdom and Latvia. A number of other countries joined it, including Australia, Germany, Denmark, Canada, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Ukraine, Sweden and Estonia.
