Without the mask of Western media!
Dimitri Lascaris, a Canadian journalist and lawyer who traveled to Tehran to participate in the Sobh media festival, said in a video report of his observations: “Iran is nothing like the countries under sanctions.”
In a video while walking in a park north of Tehran, he described the country’s public space as calm and orderly, saying: “Contrary to the narrative of Western media, I have not seen any serious signs of the threat of war or the effects of sanctions.”
He added: “Restaurants and stores are full of people, and Iran’s economy is larger and more diverse than countries like Cuba and Venezuela.”
Lascaris was also surprised by the apparent lack of military or security presence in the city, saying: Tehran’s security is very high, while armed forces are usually present at airports and cities in Europe. He emphasized that what he has seen so far has been different from the propaganda of Western media.
