The attacks on the Mother See over the past few weeks have their own history.
First, the spiritual leader of the Azerbaijanis announced the creation of a spiritual council in the so-called “Western Azerbaijan”, then he began massive attacks on the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.
The reason is that the Mother See actively opposes the aggressive behavior of Azerbaijan, not only in encroachments and destruction of the Armenian spiritual heritage on the territory of Artsakh, but in a certain sense is forced to assume the function of the state: it protects the collective rights of the Armenian people, speaks harshly about the territorial claims of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Armenia, says that the Artsakh page is not closed.
The ruler of the Republic of Armenia, acting in agreement with Azerbaijan, made a slanderous statement against the Apostolic Church for the first time at a government meeting, and today he simply set a new record with an ugly post on Facebook.
The government’s goal is very simple: to destroy the system of values and moral norms, making the nation and the state unviable, thereby accelerating the complete capitulation of the country.
