Tigran Abrahamyan: On the Criminal Inaction of the Authorities

The current leader surrendered Artsakh, ceded parts of the Republic of Armenia’s sovereign territory through criminal inaction, reduced the country’s security to a historic low, and brought the state governance system to the brink of collapse. And what is he doing in this critical situation?

The authorities continue to shape, maintain, and dictate the public-political agenda, masking their own crimes. The negotiation process remains behind closed doors, while the public discourse is consumed with artificial topics imposed by the regime — ranging from “holding candles in people’s bedrooms” to the ruling couple’s vulgar statements.

This regime is prepared to resort to the most disgraceful actions solely to achieve one goal: to remain the agenda-setter and to secure the ability to indefinitely prolong its grip on power.
