The bodies of 1,212 fallen soldiers have been returned to Ukraine from Russia. This was reported by the Ukrainian coordination headquarters, UNIAN reports.
Aide to the Russian president and head of the country’s delegation at the talks with Ukraine Vladimir Medinsky confirmed the start of the transfer of the bodies of fallen soldiers in accordance with the Istanbul agreements.
“1,212 bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers have been transferred to Kyiv, 27 fallen soldiers have been returned to Russia,” he noted, RIA Novosti reports.
