Samvel Karapetyan’s lawyer Armen Feroyan made a statement:
“The decision to detain businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan on a fabricated, obviously illegal criminal case was appealed by me to the Criminal Court of Appeal on June 19, 2025. Then, with unprecedented speed, as a result of illegal, in my opinion, interference, the materials of this case were transferred to the Criminal Court of Appeal and attributed to Judge Armen Danielyan.
Considering that this judge has been the lowest-rated judge for decades, the one most frequently challenged and the one for whom there is no perception of justice, therefore, as a result of discussions with my client, we decided to withdraw the appeal I filed in the manner prescribed by law.
