I imagine the confusion of the worried and grief-stricken citizens of Armenia in these shameful days, when the real pain and suffering of all Armenians is elsewhere, but the media and figures serving the second president have opened a new season of ugliness towards Serzh Sargsyan and the Republican Party.

The behavior of this camp has long been surprising; many of them have been on the same page since 2008, generating such a dose of lies, fabrications and poison in various media dumps that even Nikol, the main liar of the National Assembly of Armenia, would envy.

There is something else that is surprising too. Against the backdrop of terror raging in the country, repressive bacchanalia, political arrests of a public benefactor, priests, an Artsakh MP, a parent of a fallen hero, a young woman and about two dozen other people, a disgusting campaign unleashed against the church, they still have a heart, a desire and a petty interest in the internal opposition stir.

Why are they doing this, you ask? I will answer: in the long term, because of clinging to the status of “the second guy in the village”. (Can you imagine? Those who always play “Alpha” are now actually fighting for the role of chronic “Beta”).

And in the short term, perhaps in these difficult days, to “dilute” the news about the second president’s vacation. (I personally have nothing against vacations, but I agree that people with anti-Nikolaev sentiments are unlikely to correctly perceive the approach of “war is war, and lunch is on schedule.”)

Once again, the propaganda brew brewed in their media is transferred to news platforms that were once considered respectable and serious, thereby recording not only their moral and intellectual, but also professional decline.

For which I am very sorry. In the end, we did not lose each other even after 2018, if I may say so. And what happened to you now? (collective form of address). Listening to you, I am amazed and hum under my breath with the persistence of a dental drill: “This is the same man I knew…”

Perhaps you are trying to hide your cultural confusion about the nomination of Archbishop Michael, when, having a few hours to discuss the issue with him, you chose to ride the emotional wind of society for narrowly personal propaganda purposes, filling your sails with it, while throwing stones at us?

And the problem is not that you ended up embarrassed, that this attempt at political surfing failed, that this emotional wind did not fill your sails, but turned over your propaganda board. The problem is that you have once again disappointed the people, disappointed all the people who are heartbroken.

“Serge falsifies poll data and misleads Moscow, Washington and Paris”, someday I will meet the real author of your delusion, I will raise a big fuss. Are you surprised? Let me explain.

I have no doubt that when he conceived such nonsense in his festering brain, he did not even realize that he was actually attacking not Serzh, but his own boss, to the formation of whose image as “Putin’s friend” so much effort and energy had been invested in previous years.

How did it happen that, in your words, “Serzh is not liked in Moscow”, but he manages to “mislead” not only the superpower, which, according to your sick logic, could only hope for the opinion polls of the third president, but also “overtake” the Armenian confidant of the Russian president. In essence, you are recording with your delusion that you do not have much “passage” in the Kremlin, that Serzh “manages” for years to carry Kocharyan around in the struggle for influence there. Ha-ha, did you not think too deeply when you wrote this nonsense?

This is only the logical fiasco of your invention. There is also a substantive one. You are attributing to us what you have been doing for five years now, falsifying reality, creating a bubble of wishful thinking, ignoring real sociological data, trusting your own scientist. As a Kremlin official who has never received Serzh Sargsyan’s “false” polls would say: “You make up your own fairy tales and believe them yourself.”

This was the case in the 2021 elections, this was the case in Yerevan, this was the case in Gyumri, where the unity of 4 forces barely prevented Nikol’s victory. And this, unfortunately, will be the case in 2026, if you continue your current vicious behavior.

Before my arrest, I publicly admitted that the 44-day war, to which I was called as a doctor, killed the politician in me; from that moment on, I have no morbid ambitions for any vote or voice. The loss of Artsakh and the events that followed it are now killing the party in me; I no longer have the sticky dominance of group interests. There remains an ordinary Armenian who, like hundreds of thousands of other people and taken together, wants one thing: to put an end to Nikol’s Armenian-destructive rule. Everything else, all the old and new games, ambitions, operations and provocations that have hindered and are hindering this goal are unforgivable and shameful.
