The Civil Contract faction of the National Assembly initiated an extraordinary session of the National Assembly in connection with the adoption of the NA statement, the purpose of which is to condemn terrorism against the Republic of Armenia. The head of the Civil Contract faction Hayk Konjoryan stated this in the NA.
“The signatures have already been submitted to the NA staff. In a few hours, we will have a meeting of the NA Council, and after the end of the council meeting, at 17:00, the regular session of the NA will begin,” he said.
The secretary of the Armenia faction Artsvik Minasyan stated that the faction will not participate in the discussions, since what is presented as a discussion “directs and directly hinders the work of legal bodies.”
The leader of the “I Have the Honor” faction, Hayk Mamijanyan, also stated that the faction will not participate in the extraordinary session, explaining that “the propaganda organized by the authorities shows this.”
Civil Contract faction member Vahagn Aleksanyan, addressing Artsvik Minasyan, expressed the opinion that the “Armenia” faction will not participate, since it is engaged in organizing “all this.”
The day before yesterday, we reported that the Civil Contract faction of the National Assembly distributed a draft statement of the National Assembly “On the inadmissibility of seizing state power through violence and the protection of democracy.”
