In Washington, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov initialed the agreement “On the establishment of peace and interstate relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan” in the presence of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the United States. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
In agreement with Azerbaijan, the initialed text of the agreement will be published on the evening of Monday, August 11.
The ministers also signed a joint statement in the OSCE on the termination of the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group and related structures.
In his message on the X-platform, Minister Mirzoyan noted: “This is truly a historic moment for the world. A significant and symbolic day for the Republic of Armenia, the region and the world. Today, we also proclaim closer interconnectedness, prosperity and a brighter future for our generations.”
