US President Donald Trump once again touched on the topic of the trilateral summit with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan at the White House on August 8, publishing photos of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev on the social network Truth.
“It was a great honor for me to sign a peace treaty with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev after decades of war and death. They are two wonderful people and great leaders. They are now my good friends,” the US President wrote.
It should be noted that on August 8, a trilateral meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the United States took place in Washington, after which Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev, with the participation of Donald Trump, signed a joint declaration. A separate clause of the declaration is devoted to the opening of transport communications and ensuring unimpeded communication between the mainland of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. A special project, “Trump’s Path to International Peace and Prosperity,” will be implemented in Armenia, which provides for US assistance in ensuring the security of this route.
