On the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. This was reported by the RA government.
The parties discussed issues of peaceful settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, emphasizing the need for constructive dialogue, mutual trust and regional stability.
Both leaders noted the positive dynamics that emerged as a result of the recent summit in Washington, which indicates the support of the international community for the process of promoting peace and normalizing relations.
The parties agreed to continue contacts.
