Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un have completed personal talks that lasted about an hour, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, bilateral talks with delegations were held in Beijing, which lasted more than an hour and a half. After that, the leaders continued personal talks.

On Wednesday, Putin and Kim Jong-un, as well as the heads of other states, took part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese people in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and World War II.

The leaders of Russia and the DPRK attended a military parade on Tiananmen Square and an official reception at the Great Hall of the People.

Kim Jong-un, bidding farewell to the Russian president, wished him health and success.

“Health and success to you,” he said, bidding farewell to Putin.

“And the same to you,” the Russian president replied.
