The third trilateral meeting of the heads of the regional departments of the Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Armenia, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of India was held under the auspices of Iran. The Iranian delegation was headed by Mohammad Reza Bahrami, Director General of South Asian Affairs of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Anand Prakash, the Indian delegation was headed by Anand Prakash, Head of the Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran Regional Department of the Indian Foreign Ministry, and the Armenian delegation was headed by Anahit Karapetyan, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department of the RA Foreign Ministry. This was reported by the RA Foreign Ministry.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the regular and annual holding of the trilateral meeting. The progress achieved as a result of the decisions taken at the first meeting held in Yerevan in April 2023 and the second meeting held in New Delhi in December 2024 was summarized. The parties also stressed the importance of implementing the goals set at the above-mentioned meetings to ensure mutual interests and promote prosperity and well-being in the region.
During the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of expanding and deepening cooperation, in particular in the field of communications, the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), as well as the Armenian Crossroads of the World project, using the strategic location of the Chabahar port for this purpose. The parties also discussed and highlighted initiatives aimed at developing relations in the economic, trade, cultural, interpersonal and other areas of mutual interest.
