Georgia reports the arrest of two individuals attempting to illegally cross the state border.

As a result of operational investigative measures, officers from the Main Department of Border Control and Coordination of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia detained G.B., born in 1960, and B.D., a foreign citizen born in 2002, for attempting to illegally cross the state border with a forged document, Georgia Online reports.

These crimes are punishable by imprisonment for up to six years.

Officers from the Patrol Police Department detained G.B. and B.D. at different times at Tbilisi International Airport while attempting to illegally cross the state border of Georgia with a forged document.

The investigation is being conducted under Articles 19-344 and 362 of the Criminal Code.
