Danish Intelligence Warns of High Risk of Sabotage Against Armed Forces

Danish Military Intelligence Director Thomas Arenkel said on Friday that there is a high risk of sabotage against the Danish Armed Forces, Reuters reported.

Drone flights in Denmark last week led to the temporary closure of six military and civilian airports, which Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called a hybrid attack on the country.

According to Arenkel, Danish intelligence believes that Russia is currently “waging a hybrid war against both the country and the West.”

“This means that Russia is using military means, including aggressive ones, to exert pressure on us without crossing the line of armed conflict,” Arenkel told reporters.

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stated that there is no direct military threat to Denmark.
