According to Gazeta.ru, the name of Spartak Moscow legend Nikita Simonyan has been added to the blacklist of the Ukrainian website “Mirotvorets.”
The 98-year-old Simonyan is Spartak’s all-time leading scorer. He also served as head coach of Spartak and the USSR national team.
Simonyan is accused of violating the sovereignty and integrity of Ukraine.
As a Spartak player, Simonyan won the USSR championship four times, and as Spartak coach, he won the USSR championship twice. In 1956, the striker won the Olympics in Melbourne.
