The Bureau of the French National Assembly rejected the impeachment motion against Macron, Le Figaro reported.
The rejection was based on the lack of grounds for passing the impeachment motion, put forward by the left-wing party “France Insubordinate,” which had collected the signatures of 104 members of parliament.
Article 68 of the French Constitution provides for the early termination of the president’s term in office in the event of failure to fulfill his or her duties.
