A criminal case has been opened against the individual who committed a crime in the village of Aramus.

On October 12, 2025, the Operational Management Center of the Kotayk Regional Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a report of the discovery of two bodies with gunshot wounds in the fields of the village of Aramus. This was reported by the Criminal Investigation Department.

As a result of joint investigations with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, factual information was obtained indicating that on October 12, 2025, during a dispute over economic matters on a land plot located near the inter-field road leading from the village of Aramus to Nor Gyugh in the Kotayk Region, T.Kh. fired a shotgun at M.S. and G.G., residents of the same village, resulting in the death of the latter.

Then, the Kotayk Regional Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information that T.G., immediately after committing the apparent crime, fired a rifle at V.M. and M.Kh. on a road in the middle of a field in the village of Zovashen, Kotayk Region, resulting in their death. Immediately after committing the crime, T.G. stole a car belonging to V.M.

On the same day, T.G. was detained by Ministry of Internal Affairs officers on reasonable suspicion of committing the aforementioned crime, taken to the pretrial investigation agency, and confessed.

A decision was made to consolidate the criminal proceedings. An investigative task force was created.

A shotgun belonging to T.G. was found in the stolen car.

A criminal case has been opened against T.G. Under Article 155, Part 1 (murder) (two counts), paragraphs 10 and 13 of Part 2 of Article 155 (murder committed with the intent to conceal another crime or facilitate its commission for mercenary motives) (two counts), and paragraph 7 of Part 2 of Article 252 (robbery on an especially large scale) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
