Szijjarto announces dates for Orbán’s US visit

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is planning to visit Washington, Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Péter Szijjarto said in an interview with M1 TV.

He stressed that his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington was held in a great atmosphere, which is why it lasted longer than planned.

Szijjarto noted that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s visit to the White House with US President Donald Trump is scheduled for early November and will focus on the settlement of the Ukraine conflict, as well as bilateral economic projects.

“Everything is ready for the prime minister’s successful visit to the White House in early November,” Szijjarto said on M1 TV.

He added that Orbán and Trump will discuss the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, as the US listens to Hungary’s views as a neighboring country.
