AntiFake TV | “Imnemnim” Podcast
Below are the main points, thematic guidelines, and observations from the nearly 7-hour conversation with Serzh Sargsyan, the third President of the Republic of Armenia, as part of the “Imnemnim” podcast.
Overall, the podcast presents an extensive historical and political reflection on the various periods of Serzh Sargsyan’s tenure since 1988, the true and false claims that have formed around him as a person holding key positions in Armenia, the myths and stereotypes, his past decisions, certain episodes in his personal life, the current catastrophic domestic political situation, possible new dangers, and the actions of the opposition.
Serzh Sargsyan’s speech stands in stark contrast to the policies of the current Armenian government, particularly in the domestic and foreign spheres, defense, and security. For the first time, sensational revelations about the events of 2018 and the authorities’ secret actions in the Artsakh conflict settlement negotiation process were aired live.
The live broadcast was interrupted by several previously unpublished videos, featuring excerpts from Serzh Sargsyan’s open lecture on “The Artsakh Conflict: The Negotiation Process” in “Off the Record” mode, delivered as part of the 2023 School of Civic Education.
The podcast aired on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the 44-day war.
President Sargsyan noted that his public appearance live in this format would have taken place earlier had he not waited for the publication of the report of the Investigative Committee of the National Assembly investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war. He had decided to elaborate on the contents of the report, but the current authorities chose not to publish it, sending it to the National Assembly’s Department of Confidential Documents. However, Serzh Sargsyan, as Chairman of the Nagorno-Karabakh Self-Defense Committee, was twice appointed Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, served as President of the country, and served as Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the RA Armed Forces. He waged victorious wars. During the program, he analyzed the reasons for the defeat of the 44-Day War from his perspective, emphasizing and justifying that the war could have had a different outcome.
This public address by Serzh Sargsyan resonated widely in the political sphere and among the public, garnering thousands of views online and numerous media mentions.
