For Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of parliament from the “I Have the Honor” faction, what’s happening to Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan is a predictable scenario.
“The events unfolding in our country, which are clearly directed against political opponents, have made it clear that numerous arrests, detentions, and incidents of violence have become an integral part of our daily lives. It’s also important to remember that the podcast hosted by Narek and Vazgen is causing a great stir. And, naturally, any such platform is a problem for the authorities,” Abrahamyan told reporters.
He considers the platform used by Saghatelyan and Samsonyan to be the main problem for the authorities.
“In a country where everyone, from the clergy to the average citizen, is a threat to the government, even if people may have a different approach or opinion, it is natural that arrests of media representatives have also become a common occurrence in society,” he noted.
