Two police cars escorting US Vice President J.D. Vance’s motorcade crashed in Tennessee.
According to a news agency, the accident occurred in the city of Maryville. Two people were injured in the incident: a Maryville police motorcyclist and a state law enforcement officer.
The condition of one of the injured officers is considered critical.
Commenting on the situation, US Secret Service Agent Katherine Pierce noted that the agency is monitoring the situation. She also noted that the accident did not impact the security or mobility of the individual being protected.
