Today, at an extraordinary meeting of the Masis Community Council, the inauguration ceremony of newly elected community head Norayr Hakobyan took place.
“Assuming the office of head of the Masis community in the Ararat region of the Republic of Armenia, I swear that in exercising my powers as head of the community, I will observe the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, laws, and the decisions of the community council, honestly and conscientiously fulfill the powers of the community head, serve the prosperity of the community, and act for the benefit of its residents. I pledge to protect the rights, legitimate interests, and property of the community, to the best of my ability, support the faith of the people, and contribute to their material and spiritual well-being,” Hakobyan said in his swearing-in speech.
After taking the oath, Hakobyan assumed the powers of the community head.
As a reminder, the only candidate for the post of community head was the D. Hambardzumyan bloc.
The position of head of the community remained vacant after the arrest of the former leader of the community, David Ambartsumyan.
