The National Security Service arrested Bishop Arshak in the Investigative Committee building. This was reported by lawyer Arsen Babayan.
“A case has been opened regarding the violation of Bishop Arshak’s rights. Bishop Arshak is being questioned in this case, and he himself has been arrested. How else can such arbitrary action exist?” lawyer Sos Hakobyan later wrote.
It should be noted that Bishop Arshak recently gave a press conference and stated that he has no intention of resigning. He noted that the authorities’ actions against the church are politically motivated.
