The main reason Nikol remains in power is not the weak opposition. Sharmazanov

Are you Nikol’s opposition or the parliamentary opposition? Eduard Sharmazanov, a member of the Supreme Body of the Republican Party of Armenia, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Criticism of the parliamentary opposition has intensified in the run-up to the elections.
Some criticize us for not removing Nikol.
Others go even further and accuse both opposition forces of not wanting a change of power.
Ordinary citizens have the right and should demand more effective action from us.
But do those who did nothing to remove Nikol have the right to blame us?
Where were you when the Republican Party and the ARF Dashnaktsutyun didn’t go home?
Where were you when we were arrested and detained?
Are you being honest when you criticize the opposition, which has fought Nikol’s regime for years without achieving any positive results?
Since July 2024, there have been no major rallies or acts of disobedience.
If you had organized, united, and fought…
we would have come and supported you.
The main reason Nikol remains in power is not the opposition’s weak struggle.
As RPA leader Serzh Sargsyan once noted, the RA ruler remains in power primarily thanks to the support of external forces.
This is the main reason.
And there is no need to attack the parliamentary opposition.
By doing so, we are not getting closer to our common goal—a change of power—but moving further away from it,” he wrote.
