No one, neither from the regime nor from the EU, said, even formally, that the elections should be “free, fair, and democratic.”
Written by Armen Ashotyan, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia.
“For how many days have representatives of Nikol’s regime been inflating the topic of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia, interacting with EU structures?
They haven’t mentioned anything: not “hybrid warfare,” not “preventing disinformation,” not “cybersecurity,” not “Moldova-2,” not any other nonsense and delusions.
And no one, I repeat, no one, neither from the regime nor from the EU, said, even formally, that the elections should be “free, fair, and democratic.”
Just yesterday, when I openly accused the European Commission of funding the dictatorship in Armenia, the EU Delegation to Armenia issued a belated, official, and cynical statement using the term “democratic.”
They need Nikol’s image to be replicated at any cost. Everything else, including the European values that are trampled daily in Armenia, are worthless.
No one in Armenia, not a single “Kremlin agent,” not Solovyov, not Simonyan, discredits the EU and European values the way European bureaucrats, who have become deaf, blind, and dumb to reality, do.
