Russia Prepares for Arctic Cooperation with the US: Dmitriev

Moscow intends to develop cooperation with Washington in the Arctic, stated Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President’s Special Representative for Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries.

“We are preparing for cooperation with the US in the Arctic,” he wrote on the social media site X.

In October, Dmitriev announced the prospects for building an intercontinental tunnel between Alaska and Russia using Boring Company technology. He noted that the project would cost up to $8 billion and that the tunnel could be built in less than eight years. Dmitriev also noted that the RDIF had reviewed existing proposals, including the US-Canada-Russia-China railway, and would support the most viable one.
