Russian and Belarusian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko met in St. Petersburg, TASS reports.
During their conversation, the presidents agreed that the governments of both countries cooperate well, and there are virtually no issues requiring their leaders’ intervention.
Putin thanked his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, for his high assessment of Russian-Belarusian relations.
“I want to thank you for your high assessment of the quality of Russian-Belarusian relations. I noted the warmth with which you spoke about Russia and our relations,” Putin told Lukashenko.
Lukashenko, in turn, stated that Minsk and Moscow are fulfilling all agreements, and there are virtually no problems.
“We are fulfilling all agreements, from military-technical, military, and defense cooperation to economic cooperation. There are virtually no issues here,” the Belarusian leader said.
Lukashenko thanked Putin for his assessment of his speech at the meeting of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly.
