Ukraine’s territorial concessions in Donbas are hindering the conflict resolution process: Vance

Ukraine’s territorial concessions in Donbas are hindering the conflict resolution process, US Vice President J.D. Vance stated in an interview with the British portal UnHerd.

He also reported progress in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine following consultations in Miami with the Russian delegation led by Special Presidential Envoy Kirill Dmitriev.

“I think the progress we’ve made is that all the issues are now being discussed openly,” Vance said.

Progress has been made in resolving the Ukrainian conflict, but there is no absolute certainty of a peaceful resolution.

“I think there’s a high probability that it will happen, but there’s also a high probability that it won’t,” the US Vice President said.

According to him, the possibility of joint control of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the status of Russians in Ukraine are also being discussed.
