People in a Baku prison are defending their rights, while the occupying regime in Armenia tramples on state interests.

It’s shocking: people in Armenia, or rather government officials, distort history in broad daylight, declaring Artsakh an Azerbaijani state and calling our country a criminal and an aggressor, while a man behind bars in Baku, in this case Bako Sahakyan, declares in an Azerbaijani court that nothing criminal occurred from the Karabakh movement to the formation and strengthening of statehood in Artsakh, and that he himself participated in this struggle, including the operations to liberate Shushi, wrote NA MP Tigran Abrahamyan.

“Levon Mnatsakanyan, aware of the Armenian government’s position and stance on the Artsakh issue, the national liberation struggle, and the war, and understanding that, whatever he says, the cards are already open, defends the interests of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people in this very same Baku court, denying the involvement of mercenaries in the war and prioritizing the protection of Armenian rights and lives.

People under daily pressure, threats, and blackmail are doing everything possible under these circumstances to defend the honor and dignity of the Armenian people, while the regime occupying the Republic of Armenia continues to trample on state interests and the value system that underpins the country’s viability.”
