A “revival” of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is unlikely, as it has become a tool used by the West against Russia. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference summing up Russia’s diplomatic activities in 2025.
“Our position is that we will continue to be a member of the OSCE, not because we have any hopes or illusions—and in the current situation, any hopes are an illusion—but simply because we want to support those OSCE participating States that maintain common sense,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated at the press conference.
