Key highlights from the third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan’s, messages on Army Day since 2018

The Administration of the third President of the Republic of Armenia has published key highlights from the messages of the third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Army Day since 2018.

“Any nation and state is doomed to oblivion until they realize that the first guarantee of their existence is the army. Without an army, there is no state and there will be no state.

The army of a foreign state, even a friendly one, will never defend the borders of any nation or state in the same way as a soldier defends his homeland, state, and parents.

The glorious path of the Armenian Army is not only an indelible history but also an objective reality that exists regardless of various perceptions.

An army is invincible when it is led by those who possess courage, honor, and national dignity in spirit.

The enemy saw the victorious spirit of the Armenian Army. and were shocked by the unimaginable feats of Armenian soldiers when the army had worthy commanders.

To those who throw stones at the army today and to those who are skeptical, I say once again: you don’t know the real Armenian army.

Those who consider our once-mighty army, which brought the enemy to its knees, a myth, are deliberately desecrating the memory of thousands of brave soldiers and deliberately plunging our people into despair.

Armenia’s rulers have now embarked on a confusing process called “transformation” of the army, which is in fact an attempt to make the army resemble themselves in order to finally crush it.

Armenian Army, our beloved child,
Straighten your back, grit your teeth, and look forward, learning from the past.

“I bow my head before the immortal memory of all our brave sons who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and independence of the Motherland – my many comrades in arms, our heroic brothers and sisters, sons and daughters.”
