“It’s spring any time of year for Russian-Chinese relations,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, RIA Novosti reports.
Putin called his contacts with Xi Jinping at the beginning of the year a good tradition, noting that the date of the conversation in 2026 was chosen symbolically.
“According to the Chinese calendar, today is ‘Spring Beginning,’ ‘Lichu,’ after which frosts recede, renewal arrives, and a new cycle begins in nature,” he added.
