In fact, Vance is probably hinting that the USA considers Azerbaijan as a “stabilizer” in this regard, or at least as a candidate for such a function.
On the one hand, this is quite a responsibility and quite a heavy burden for Aliyev. But, on the other hand, this is a big challenge for Armenia, because if he accepts this role…” In this role, Aliyev will undoubtedly try to get the maximum “feed” from the USA, and it is here that his ambitions in relation to Armenia come to the fore. Trump’s path is largely a part of it. And Vance spoke in Yerevan about the importance of something like “the next stage of peacekeeping”.
