Poland is expanding its reparations demands to Russia, not just Germany.

According to the Financial Times, Poland is preparing a lawsuit against Russia seeking reparations (compensation) for crimes committed during the Cold War.

The case concerns damages allegedly suffered during the Polish People’s Republic, when it was an ally of the USSR.

Prime Minister Tusk ordered an investigation into Moscow’s historical crimes.

It is reported that a group of approximately ten historians and researchers will handle the case.

The lawsuit against Russia is in line with Germany’s demand for €1.3 trillion in compensation for crimes committed during World War II.

It is too early to say how much money will be demanded from Moscow.
