Fighting Resumes on the Afghan-Pakistani Border

Fighting has resumed on the Afghan-Pakistani border, with a military base near the Pakistani town of Nowshera attacked.

“Military camps in the Pakistani settlements of Swabi and Bhutto were attacked by drones,” the publication stated.

Later, the Afghan Ministry of Defense confirmed strikes on Pakistani military installations, including a military camp near Faizabad in Islamabad, military positions in Jamrud, and other installations in Abbottabad.

“The strikes were carried out in retaliation for airstrikes carried out by Pakistani forces in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia last night,” the ministry explained.

Recall that a spokesman for the Taliban’s 201st Army Corps reported armed clashes on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. It was noted that fighting between border units of the two countries began in the Nazian district of Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, near the Durand Line.
