Impeachment is aimed solely at Nikol Pashinyan. Mamijanyan

“The continuation of this government’s rule poses the greatest threat to the existence and future of the Republic of Armenia,” Hayk Mamijanyan, head of the “I Have Honor” faction of the National Assembly, stated at a press conference.

He emphasized that the current government’s actions threaten our statehood on a daily basis. According to Mamijanyan, impeachment, combined with street struggle, is a realistic step toward overthrowing this government. It could also serve as a deterrent during the pre-election and election periods.

“Under what circumstances will Pashinyan commit even more brazen, even more shameful, deceitful acts and exert pressure: in a calm and peaceful environment, during a normal election campaign, or if he sees that the citizens of the Republic of Armenia are ready to defend their rights, including through peaceful disobedience on the streets? I think the answer is obvious,” Mamijanyan said.

The head of the “I Have Honor” faction also noted that the impeachment is directed only against Nikol Pashinyan and, moreover, does not create any legal or political contradictions.

“The impeachment and election processes have no legal or political contradictions. This process is directed only against Nikol Pashinyan and does not contradict any constitutional process, since impeachment and the subsequent elections cannot contradict each other.”
