Vagif Khachatryan, who was released from a Baku prison, is in satisfactory health, according to his daughter, Vera Khachatryan. She said Vagif Khachatryan continues to receive treatment, taking his prescribed medications on time. “The most important thing is that my father is independent and not bedridden. I can’t say he no longer has health problems, but he continues to receive preventative treatment,” Vera Khachatryan said.
Khachatryan said his father’s friends from his prison days, Gevorg Sujyan, David Davtyan, and Vigen Yeuliekjyan, often visit him in Baku prison.
“The boys keep in touch with my father and see him often. They generally don’t talk about their days in captivity, and we don’t ask unnecessary questions. “They only assured me that they were not tortured there,” Vera Khachatryan added.
