The authorities’ predictable actions against Armine Ohanyan, editor of the Hraparak newspaper, and the sister of a hero killed in the Artsakh War, a mother of many children, complete the chain of government misdeeds that has kept society in constant turmoil for eight years, writes Tigran Abrahamyan, secretary of the “I Have Honor” faction of the National Assembly.
“But the problem isn’t the obvious targets of illegally operating ‘law enforcement’ agencies, but rather the society, which the authorities are trying to intimidate at any cost, passively suppressing any manifestations of activism.
A tyrannical country whose pressure stems from its image, restrictions on freedom of speech, and immoral behavior,” Abrahamyan noted.
