Metaxe Hakobyan, a member of parliament from the Justice faction of the Artsakh Republic National Assembly, writes:
“Our meetings with the residents of Artsakh so disturbed the Nikolovs that they weren’t content with merely attacking us on social media from their companions (unfortunately, born in Artsakh but converted to Judaism). Moreover, they found several more ‘newly discovered Jews,’ brought them into the hall, and staged another performance.
A performance whose theme, no matter how hard they tried to hide it, was precisely the issues we raise as a result of our meetings.
But they missed the most important point.
One truth runs through all our meetings:
We view both our failures and temporary achievements as temporary, because our goal has not changed and will not change. Return to Artsakh.
It’s disgusting to hear the one who betrayed Artsakh, the one who deliberately victimized our brave sons, speak with a wry smile about a “united homeland.”
It’s disgusting when the architect of defeat tries to teach us patriotism.
He doesn’t know a true citizen of Artsakh.
He doesn’t understand his own type.
A citizen of Artsakh is proud. He is worthy.
The homeland is himself, his existence.
He works, he builds, he doesn’t break, even when everything has been taken from him.
And most importantly, no staged scenes, no show, no false program can steal the trust of a citizen of Artsakh.
Because a citizen of Artsakh never forgets.
A citizen of Artsakh never forgives.
And a citizen of Artsakh will never vote for someone who has given away their homeland.
H.G. We have loved and love the Republic of Armenia, it has always been and is our homeland, but we will never stop fighting for justice, for the sake of returning to our homeland, to Artsakh…”
