It’s time to open a path of de-escalation to restore stability in the Middle East. Macron

It’s time to open a path of de-escalation to restore stability in the Middle East. French President Emmanuel Macron wrote this on his social media page.

“It’s time to open a path of de-escalation to restore stability in the Middle East. France calls for an immediate moratorium on attacks on civilian infrastructure, whether water or energy facilities. Freedom and safety of navigation must be restored,” he wrote.

Macron also called for a chance to pursue a negotiated and sustainable solution.

“As the region enters a period of religious celebration and revival, passions must subside and hostilities must cease to give way to the prospect of a negotiated and sustainable solution,” the French president noted.
