During the 41st week of 2024, an average activeness of acute respiratory infections was recorded in Armenia.
This morbidity has increased by 1.2 times compared to the previous week, which is in line with the specified period of the season, but it is 1.1 times lower compared to the same period of the previous week. A total of 71 percent of these cases were among those between 0 and 18 years old.
As a result of the laboratory tests of the samples, however, no influenza viruses were detected in Armenia.
But among other respiratory infections, the causative agents of rhinovirus and coronavirus SARS-Cov-2 were found in the country.
The recorded cases of coronavirus during the last seven days have increased by 22.5 percent compared to the previous same period, but the recorded cases during the past 14 days have decreased by 31 percent compared to the previous same period in Armenia.
