Amazon introduces Kindle Colorsoft, its first e-book with a color E-Ink display

Amazon has unveiled its first e-book with a color E-Ink display. The device is called Kindle Colorsoft and will go on sale on October 30.

The screen diagonal of Kindle Colorsoft is 7 inches. The pixel density is 300 ppi for black and white image and 150 ppi for color image. Colorsoft has also become the brightest e-book on Kindle, with a screen brightness of up to 94 nits.

The e-book is protected against moisture according to the IPX8 standard. According to the company, one charge is enough for eight weeks of work. The device charges in 2.5 hours, and a docking station is also available for wireless charging. A 32GB hard drive is installed for data storage.
