Polish President Andrzej Duda met—in Yeraskh village of Ararat Province—with the staff of the European Union civilian monitoring mission (EUMA) stationed in Armenia.
It was reported earlier that the president of Poland will visit Yeraskh rural community as part of his visit to Armenia, from Monday to Wednesday, to participate in a joint patrol with EUMA.
The head of EUMA is Markus Ritter, and his deputy is Marek Kuberski, a Polish national. The EUMA was established in February 2023 for a period of two years, and its objectives include monitoring the situation on and patrolling the Armenia-Azerbaijani border.
