Putin arrived in Astana

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Astana for the second time in 2024. This time, the head of the Russian state is paying a state visit to Kazakhstan, which has the highest status according to diplomatic protocol, TASS reports.

It is sunny in Astana today, about minus five degrees.

The official welcoming ceremony will be held at the residence of the head of the Kazakh state, Akorda, in different halls of which the leaders will work all day. They will hold talks in a narrow format and with delegations, take part in the signing ceremony of joint documents, speak via video link at the plenary session of the 20th anniversary forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, which is taking place on November 26-27 in Ufa, and the opening ceremony of the branch of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi at the Omsk State University named after Dostoevsky.

On November 28, Putin will continue working in Astana at the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
