Almost no food has reached the northern Gaza Strip for more than 50 days. The level of destruction and hunger in Gaza is worse than ever before, according to Antoine Renard, director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP) in the Palestinian territories.
“People can no longer cope. Almost no food is coming in and the markets are empty. In November, about 815,000 people received food aid from the WFP, which is barely half of those who need it,” he said in a video posted on the organization’s page in H.
It estimates that nearly 2.2 million people in Palestine are experiencing acute food insecurity.
